Do good conductors of heat lose heat FAST or SLOW?
One common misconception that some students have is on good conductors of heat. They know that the materials gain heat and increase in temperature fast. Yet, when is comes to the same material losing heat, they somehow think of the material losing heat slower as shown in this example.
Most children who have science misconceptions are NOT aware that their ideas are incorrect. When they are simply told they are wrong, they often have a hard time giving up their misconceptions – especially if they have had a misconception for a long time.

When misconceptions remain unaddressed, students may continue repeating the same mistakes despite doing more worksheets or memorising more model answers.

- This parent workshop is to support parents in guiding their child’s learning. Your child is welcome to sit in the session with you.
- Participants should attend the session “live” to reap the full benefits. 2 weeks’ access to the recorded replay of this workshop session will be provided.
- Germinate reserves the right to change the venue and timing.
- Germinate requires a minimum of 6 participants for class to commence.
- Slot can only be confirmed when payment has been made on a first come first served basis.
- All participants need a confirmation email of payment received from Germinate.
- For online event, only one login is allowed for each confirmed signup. We will send you the zoom login details and softcopy handouts 3-7 days before the date.
- For onsite event, hardcopy handouts will be provided in class.
- Fees paid are STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE unless workshop is cancelled by Germinate. Kindly check to confirm your personal schedule BEFORE signing up for this workshop.
- If the workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or if the minimum quorum is not reached, all participants will be informed via email or whatsapp. Full refund of fees will be made.
